Piano and Theory Lessons
Piano Lessons
Kerry offers weekly lessons to students ages 6 and up Students will have the opportunity to perform in local festivals and complete examinations at their grade level. A technical portion (scales, ear training, etc.) will be included in each lesson. Kerry consistently guides her students to achieve First Class Honours on Royal Conservatory of Music exams and her students frequently receive scholarships from local festivals. Kerry teaches students of all ages, including adult beginners.
Theory Lessons
Learning theory is like understanding the rules of any language and is recommended to all piano students. Theory instruction is included in all beginner piano lessons, but as students advance (around RCM Level 3), lessons need to be longer than 30 minutes so there is enough time to learn Theory concepts. Kerry can also provide Theory lessons to students learning instruments other than the piano.
