Kerry is an accomplished pianist, piano teacher, performance pianist and classroom educator. In over 30 years of experience playing piano, Kerry has received numerous gold medals in local piano festivals, multiple scholarships, completed her Grade 10 piano examination with honours and received, with distinction, her Bachelor of Education with a minor in Fine Arts from the University of Alberta.
 
As a piano teacher, Kerry consistently leads her students to achieve First Class Honours on their Royal Conservatory of Music exams. Her students frequently receive scholarships for their performances and are invited to play in provincial competitions.

Kerry began teaching piano when she was a high school student. She took a hiatus to receive her Education degree from the U of A and taught in the classroom with Edmonton Public Schools for eight years. After missing the powerful presence of music in her life, Kerry left classroom teaching to embark on her dream career as a musician. Her classroom experience has been beneficial to her piano studio as she understands all students have different learning styles and can modify her teaching based on the age, ability and needs of her student. Kerry has experience teaching children, teenagers and adults both piano and theory. Kerry will format your lessons to match what you wish to get out of your piano experience. From classical music, theory instruction, popular hits, examinations and performances or not, Kerry is prepared to help you in your journey through music! Her studio is in beautiful Sturgeon County located just 20 minutes north of Edmonton/St. Albert and 14 minutes east of Morinville. Kerry also offers online lessons for the convenience of her students.

Kerry is also excited to be able to share her passion for playing piano at local events and with local musicians. She is open to new accompaniment and performance experiences.
